Gameshow 2.6 Beta - Shot/Scene Playlisting! OBS & Xsplit can't do that!

Here is the 2.6 Beta! The big highlight here is Shot / Scene Playlisting!

In OBS and Xsplit, you can playlist videos or images, but what if you want to playlist entire Shots / Scenes? Think of the possibilities there! My favorite use case for this is setting up multiple shots / scenes with the camera in different locations and different overlays. You can set the duration of each shot independently and have it rotate between them like you have your own switching crew backing you! You can also have as many playlists as you want!

Another use is intro videos, you can set it to play your intro video and auto switch to your preferred live scene and hold there! Lots of possibilities here.

Pretty cool eh? (Hint: You can also pop the playlist out to a separate window by right clicking the playlist tab and selecting the appropriate context menu item.)

Aside from that, we have a number of bug fixes, and a whole lot of under-the-hood changes for things to come in the next few versions.

Let us know your thoughts on this!

  • New! Added Playlist Shots to Gameshow 2.6!
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when opening the preferences.
  • Fixed an issue where preview and live windows would sometimes flicker on AMD GPUs.
  • Fixed an issue where the Replay Mark-In button was not functioning properly.
  • Fixed an issue where the Audio Interface selection was not being saved properly.
  • Fixed an issue which caused the audio monitor toggle to change state improperly when Feedback Detection was triggered.
  • Auto-Live now disabled by default due to customer feedback.
  • Fixed an issue where Gameshow licensing could get in a bad state preventing the application from being able to launch.
  • Fixed an issue where CPU statistics were sometimes displaying erroneously low values.

  • Interesting issue. Playlists and contained scenes don't save. They're just missing when opening the save file.

I'll post in troubleshoot if I get more details.

  • Trevor Bryant it happened when I saved them. Probably the same issue the other guy is having. Unfortunately, the stream tonight wasn't as awesome cuz I lost all my transitions. =/

  • How do I download it? It says it's already up to date. Are my playlists coming back or did it delete them?

  • I do not think there is any way to get them back... sorry :( , the beta had this bug only, not the release version.

  • Hey Donovan Lewis ,

The latest build can always be found and downloaded from the bottom of this page.

You can also make sure you are updated to the latest build from within the application. To do this, go into the Gameshow Preferences (Gameshow on mac, File on Windows) and choose software update.

  • Wow. This is definitely more of an alpha bug. Kinda irritated I have to remake everything. I'm shocked something like this slipped past internal builds unless no one is saving test documents/setups. =K

Those links on this post need to be replaced since it will be corrupting users files should anyone else try to download this beta. Please remove them…
