Unable to use the latest version

Hello,

I bought Gameshow back in 2017. I have not used it for a while due to being sick. I had to reinstall Windows on my computer. Now when I try to use the latest version it won't allow me to, puts the watermark back. I did see that Gameshow is no longer for sale, but I was hoping to at least get the latest version. My question is. Were there no updates from version 4.2 to the lastest to date? Was it for sale again with no updates? Thank you for your help. ~ Warm Regards

  •  Try using our online License Reset Tool.
    Enter in your license and deactivate it. Waite a few minutes and try to reactivate it in GameShow.
    The last version of GameShow is 4.5.1. You can download from this linked page .

  • CraigS  Hello, Thank you for your help. I used the "License Reset Tool" on the lastest GameShow is 4.5.1 version and when I did it said "sorry" with a sad face and put the watermark back on.  Not sure why but License Reset tool will only work on the 4.5.1 version for me. ~

  • Kasablast With Gameshow open go to Help > Send Support Information and tell them you need your serial number reset. You can include the serial number so we know what to look for.

  • CraigS Hello! I am recently using Gameshow again (I updated from 3.8 to 4.5.1 tonight) and I'm having the same exact problem as Kasa. I purchased back in 2017 so I have a serial number (which I reset with the tool) but I'm still getting the watermarked version. I followed your instructions above, but I was wondering if there was anything I could do in the meantime? Thank you in advance! Cheers.

  • Actually the latest version that I was able to grab is 4.5.0. Could that be causing the problem?

  • CraigS Sorry to bug again, but is the system audio capture totally messed if one is using a DAW like Ableton Live with an audio interface? I can't seem to capture any audio other than audio from Chrome and the game capture software. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

     If you're using a Mac made after late 2017 it is. Our audio driver doesn't work with the new T2 chip. Apple would have to update their API and they haven't as of yet. If you monitor through a USB device you can once again capture system audio is that gets around the T2 chip.

  • CraigS Thank you for the quick reply. No mac, I am on Win10. System audio capture worked fine on Gameshow 3.8 (and previous versions) that I used before. It seems like there is a huge issue with Telestream audio capture with any kind of audio interface. I also tried Wirecast and had the same issues. I can capture from Chrome fine, or if I use built in audio it seems to work, but that nullifies the entire point of what I am doing (live inputs and DAW run into audio interface etc). I am going to try using virtual audio routing software like Dante Via, and if that doesn't work, or it introduces too much lag, I'm going to try rolling back to 3.8. Is there somewhere we can grab older versions? Also - what do I have to do to get rid of the watermark? I have purchased the software 2 times actually and sent in my order# and serial number - both using the tool and sending a report as you mentioned on this thread. Thanks!

     We haven't changed the audio driver so perhaps a Windows update or a change in your system sound settings.

     Again there are issues Mac. We've made no changes in our Wirecast audio drivers for a very long time. So something else must have changed.

     Please do test and compare. It may confirm the issue isn't the version.

     You should have received a case number. Please do post that so I can investigate.

  • CraigS hmmm... weird on the audio changes. I will test out older versions and the virtual routing and report back here. 

    As for the watermark - I have not received a case number, but I sent my order number and serial through the help menu above as you mentioned. Is there a way where I can give you that information directly?

    Also - I reset my serial through the tool posted on another thread. Reset was successful but the watermark is still there.
